Digital Health and well- being.
There are factors that can be associated with the Digital Health and Wellbeing, as people increasingly become more interactive on their technological platforms. As technology is greatly increasing and changing, so are the issues that are connected to the use of technological devices. Digital health and wellbeing is a very important subject as it highlights all the health issues that come along with the use if technology , and these issues people tend to forget about.
Elements that are associated with wellbeing in a digital technological world can be either physical, psychological, societal or behavioural.
Physical issues
Physical issues are symptoms or issues that directly affect the physical body, usually caused be the overuse of technology and the Internet. These issues can range from ergonomics, repetitive strain injury syndrome, eye strain and obesity.
Ergonomics
This concept is usually defined as the science of designing and using furniture , equipment and products that are comfortable wand meet the standards of individual's using them. It has to do with making user-friendly equipment and products that will not strain or harm the user in the long run. It includes equipment such as chairs with back adjustment, height control and general support.
Repetitive Strain Injury Syndrome (RSI)
Which is also known as work- related upper limb disorder or nonspecific upper limb pain, is the pain felt in muscles nerves and tendons caused by repetitive movement and overdose.
This condition usually affects part of the upper body such as the elbow , wrist , neck, forearm, and shoulders. And symptoms can include:
•pain or tenderness
•stiffness
•tingling or numbness.
