Identity theft-the fraudulent practice of using another person's name and personal information in order to obtain credit, loans, etc.

Ransomware-a type of malicious software designed to block access to a computer system until a sum of money is paid."although ransomware is usually aimed at individuals, it's only a matter of time before business is targeted as well"

DDoS attacks-DDoS is short for Distributed Denial of Service. DDoS is a type of DOS attack where multiple compromised systems, which are often infected with a Trojan, are used to target a single system causing a Denial of Service (DoS) attack.

Botnets-a network of private computers infected with malicious software and controlled as a group without the owners' knowledge, e.g. to send spam.

Spamming-irrelevant or unsolicited messages sent over the Internet, typically to large numbers of users, for the purposes of advertising, phishing, spreading malware, etc.

Social Engineering-a non-technical method of intrusion hackers use that relies heavily on human interaction and often involves tricking people into breaking normal security procedures. It is one of the greatest threats that organizations today encounter.

Drive-by-Downloads-Downloads which a person authorized but without understanding the consequences (e.g. downloads which install an unknown or counterfeit executable program, ActiveX component, or Java applet).
